You mentioned the third (current) name is DASH, but not the earlier names. Other than that I really liked how you presented the results of your research.

why u cry many years later . MAster Nodes take the risk of the Blockchain .
Seagull Australis (1 month ago)
Did you miss the entirety of the video? The creator of Dash owns over 20% of the existing supply, and over 10% of the max supply. Just consider the number of masternodes, and influence over the network you could gain with that.

Dash #1 and i Believe u are the real scamer who try to blame DASH for absolute no reason u need alote deep learn.Any one can be a Master Node but for sure u will pay alote more just because the time is progress on the real Blockchain technology .Also more u cry more u will pay to be a future Master Node. If u are beginner Decentralized Thought u can start mining LOL

Great video man. Love the professionalism. It's important to remember that just because a marketcap is high for a coin, it can be extremely misleading. With coins that have a very small amount of people make up a large proportion of the coin supply, the 'available supply' is a realistically a fraction of what it claims purports to be. They obviously have an incentive to not crash the market so there is an economic pressure on these 'megawhales' to NOT move their coins. I feel like the ICO sector of the crypto economy is plagued by this sort of misdirection because of the arbitrary nature of minting the coins. There was a case not too long ago where a shitcoin that had near zero volume had someone purchase a tiny amount (think 0.00001) for a high price on an exchange with no market depth. And since the price of coins on exchanges is commonly defined as the most recent trade, for a brief period this coin took one of the top spots on coinmarketcap despite being near worthless. Another interesting case is the original cryptonote bytecoin release which involved the dev pretending like the coin had been used on the deepweb since 2012 but now was going public (and there was a shitty .onion 'blog' documenting the changelog since it's 2012 'release'). This was done to justify the premine because a couple years worth of coins had been mined already upon release. Turns out that the author had cited a bitcointalk post made after the 'release date' in the whitepaper and also used a pdf application version that hadn't existed at the time of the purported release. Google 'Blowing the lid off the CryptoNote/Bytecoin scam (with the exception of Monero)' and look at the bitcointalk thread.

This is about as valid as the evidence flat earther's use to "prove" their argument. Anyone can cherry pick data and present it in a negative manner. If you pull your head out of your ass, you'll see that Dash is CLEARLY not a scam.
Solid money (3 months ago)
There is so much wrong with your argument, I would have to make a 10 minute video just to counter all the bs you're saying. He did not sell because he does not want to have masternodes, he only thought of masternodes at a much later stage, he publicly stated he took all his masternodes down in a video as well. Stating something like that if not untrue makes him liable in court. I have done allot of research on dash it past, I have also done my fair share on other coins, they come out allot worst .Please ask me any coin you'll like and I point out to you how good or bad that coin is in comparison to Dash. And don’t forget Dash has been around for much longer time than most coins, so lots of time to distribute, and not even half of the coins have been mined yet, unlike some coins that just start out completely owned by the Dev team. Such as bitcoin (1milion still owned by satoshi), Ethereum(initially offered as 100% ICO, which luckily could be mined) Every ERC20 token ever created !!!!, yes and plenty of those have been or are in the top20 coins, non of them have been called a scam, and most recently VERGE had a bug which had lots of similarly to the one Dash had ages ago !, making it even more credible that there was no ill attempt, and nobody suffered any damage what so ever from it. Plz do your own reaseach: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Official statement (dash is very open about the instamine fact) https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OC/pages/19759164/Dash+Instamine+Issue+Clarification Deep technical analysis of the early mining and distribution https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg15619552#msg15619552 Bitcoin vs Dash - Ridiculous comments on Dash https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzqGf_ak_2I Evan Duffield has no more than 256,000 Dash and will give away 80% of that to fund DAOs within DASH https://np.reddit.com/r/dashpay/comments/62jc3b/evan_duffield_has_no_more_than_256000_dash_and/ A View of: Dash’s Instamine Is Not A Problem http://fintekneeks.com/my-view-dashs-pre-mine-is-not-a-problem/ Dash Instamine Issue Clarification https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/display/OC/Dash+Instamine+Issue+Clarification Instamine FAQ https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/display/DOC/Legacy+FAQ#LegacyFAQ-WasDashInstamined? Eric Olson (4 months ago)
Hating on something because it supports Linux first. Lulz, sounds like a feature to me. A lot of people mined a lot of worthless coins, but even if he did this it doesn't change anything about the function of the coin now. If anything it seems like someone holding a huge chunk of Dash would have a lot of incentive to not mess it up. Your also ignoring that Dash was super cheap for a long time. How many of those coins do you figure went though exchanges? If you think running a masternode is less troubles than mining I think you don't know what your talking about. It's gotten easier recently but, it's quite a bit more effort than installing a miner and letting run. Comparing it to Bitconnect is disgusting. Anyone coming into Dash now knows how many coins exist and how many they are buying or could buy. What does it matter who owns those coins? Dash does exactly what is claimed. You can view the code if you like. Bitconnect claimed to do something that clearly wasn't happening. Worst case scenario Evan is a genius who made a brilliant coin and kept a shitload of it for himself. What I want is a viable payment coin with a decent proven stake consensus mechanism, instant cheap transactions, and a privacy option. Dash is all of that. If it's creator gets rich for giving us that, I can deal. Coins should be judged on what they are and how they work, not who made money off of them.

Dash gave out Dash Cards with recieve QR codes printed on them. On the back side of these cards is the private key (covered) with the option to scratch them an look at the private keys when needed. These cards were given out by DASH themselves on many promotional events. The only person that could know the private key are the person that holds the card/ scratches the private key and the DASH team who issued the cards. I’ve personally had one of these cards and did an experiment. I deposited a small amount of DASH (0.001) and waited to see if the funds would be safe. Please note I haven’t unscratched the private key. After two weeks the funds on the address were transferred out of the address and moved several times/mixed with larger funds. This proves to me that DASH a thief’s and would steal any amount of their own currency if get the chance to do so.

Decentralized Thought (4 months ago)
Really appreciate it man :) glad you enjoyed them!
Thomas M (4 months ago)
Wow, I had no idea they were manipulating up their total take on the premine stuff. I had always ignored it because I figured 2.5% wasn't a big deal. But 10% growing on 30% is a HUGE deal.
Decentralized Thought (4 months ago)
Yeah the cap change after the premine is what did it for me as well. Very shady practice :/.
A Rose (4 months ago)
5th complaint also invalid......... Any structure in nature tends towards an 80/20 distribution, with the top 20 percent controlling 80 percent and the bottom 80 percent controlling 20 percent, EVERY CRYPTOCURRENCY IS LIKE THIS. Bitcoin is even worse.
Decentralized Thought (4 months ago)
The Pareto principle doesn't have anything to do with this. It's the instamine, not natural distribution.
A Rose (4 months ago)
4th complaint also invalid......... complaining about masternodes? these were a new technology that was SO IMPRESSIVE that a HUNDRED OTHER COINS HAVE COPIED IT, it allows for instant send transactions to make Dash an actual usable currency.....
Decentralized Thought (4 months ago)
My complaint is all the masternodes came from the 24 hour premjne
A Rose (4 months ago)
3rd complaint is also invalid.......... Bitcoin Cash just lowered their cap like Dash did, Why? BECAUSE IT RAISES THE VALUE OF ALL THE TOKENS!!!!!!!!! HOW IS THIS A BAD THING?????
Decentralized Thought (4 months ago)
Bitcoin Cash, a miner decided to burn some of the token rewards. Dash decided to change the total cap, after the premine. Huge difference
A Rose (4 months ago)
your second complaint is also invalid....... saying Dash was only a few people mined at the beginning is not an argument, because the original Bitcoin was mined by EVEN LESS PEOPLE for WEEK resulting in some of those original addresses being mined to have over 1 million BITCOIN, this is NORMAL FOR A COIN!!!!!!
Seagull Australis (3 months ago)
When Bitcoin was first mined, it wasn't manipulated to blocks could be mined very quickly. There was no set of cloud computers set up to specifically manipulate a bug at the launch of Bitcoin. The reason why there was so few people mining Bitcoin at the beginning because having that few people doing so is necessary to keep the coin around at the time no one was aware of it nor taking it seriously. Also, the first million Bitcoin weren't mined in the first eight hours. Bitcoin also doesn't have supernodes which incentivises people to hold DASH by rewarding them for nothing other than having a large number of DASH.
Decentralized Thought (4 months ago)
Big difference. Bitcoin was new tech, and not many people took it seriously. Dash was mined by a few people because of a surprise release date, and broken software (except for the creators)
A Rose (4 months ago)
WOW! So your first complaint is that it was originally only able to be mined on Linux? You do realize Linux (unless you code it yourself) is the ONLY secure and private Operating System that is mass adopted. You are entitled to your opinion, but your opinion is rooted in deeply flawed understanding. Windows and Mac send a list of all your activity and program use to central databases, if you were trying to securely launch a project, especially a PRIVACY oriented one, you should be PRAISED for launching on Linux....... especially in the early days of cryptocurrency when all the government cronies hadn't yet invested and preferred to put you in jail (see Ross Ulbright etc.).
Seagull Australis (3 months ago)
What's stopping him from compiling the software for Windows? Nothing. Linux distributions are great, but that's no excuse to intentionally making software unavailable on other platforms.
Decentralized Thought (4 months ago)
Go on the Dash ANN page on the Bitcoin talk forums. You'll see the uproar from the fact it was Linux only.
Antoine Jameson (5 months ago)
Also to say the top richlist on DASH only holds around 61,000 coins (Poloniex at one time held up to 10 million ETH on their cold wallet balance), just seems like a conspiracy theory.
Antoine Jameson (5 months ago)
Regardless of whatever drama, DASH still has a solid economic model on it's coin.
Antoine Jameson (5 months ago)
Also why are we still attacking such a small fast mine period that was by accident, these premined ERC20 tokens being distributed on major exchanges by standard is much more concerning.
Solid money (5 months ago)
YOu start with: "I believe privacy is a right not a privilege" That so monero to say that of you, yet monero transactions are quit expensive and are continue to do so, monero privacy has been broken multiple times over they years, in a retro active fashion, yes Dash has never been broken. So they have a table on the site, 1 mixin transactions are linkable 86% of the time, 10+ mixin transactions are linkable 22% of the time. Monero has fixed this bug since January of this year, but if you used monero on a DNM between 2014 - Jan 2017, BEWARE!

You say you have done 10s of hours of research. Are you giving your opinion of Dash or statements of facts you directly observed? Have you seen the network of computers and the code running them controlling Dash? It appears you have read document someone else has created.
mrdave2112 (6 months ago)
I have completed many hours of research too and I can't verify most all of the research articles, documents, data I have read through.  I can only use my logical through experience to conclude all currency/money is created by a person or group of persons and I have to just trust them. The more research I do, the less trust I have in people that publish their work or report things on media outlet of any kind. You put a lot of work into this video, and thank you, but I just question how valid and reliable the information you were using was. I hope you expect nothing less from your viewers like me.

There is a very simple "game theory" reason why evan duffield is the instaminer. If he wasnt, he wouldnt have continued with the instamine-chain. He could have killed all scam theories at the press of a button by just relaunching the thing as announced. The only rational reason to continue with the instamine chain is because the payoff he gets from continuing with it is big enough. And dont anyone tell me "the community" told him not to. Who is "the community"? And how does that make it right?

I truly LOVE the information and wisdom you provide!!! It's so hard to find this kind of content on the internet. AWESOME WORK!!! Could you please make a video about hashgraph and your opinion of whether that technology will ultimately replace the current blockchain as we know it? According to Leemon Baird, the creator of hashgraph, none of the current cryptocurrencies are as secure to hacking as a cryptocurrency based on hashgraph could be. If so, then what will happen to all the present cryptocurrencies, especially the ones like Monero which are quite secure and solid (as you've mentioned before in a previous video)? Thanks!

I have earn thousands of dollars in DASH. I have worked with the community and have been able to promote DASH for a long time. The most common accusation DASH get was the 'instamined' which has been greatly debunked and researched with all the study being public and even repeated to the DASH wiki. The other is the centralization which is a bit absurd since other cryptos are far more centralized. On your video you also give some false and somehow stupid statements: 1st most devs are on linux, so of course most stuff is on linux first (or mac on unix with free tools). Zcash and Monero also for the longest were only minable on Linux as well, and that is because the free and open source compiler gcc only found on linux as opposed to windows which doesnt come with a compiler nor OSX. Also instamined also happened in the past with Bitcoin as there was a bug that made the miners generate a whole lot more bitcoins than expected. You dont see people complain about that either. Not just that but Evan already publically stated that he donated his masternodes so he doesnt hold any masternodes for more than a year. Giving an end to most of the speculation about he hording DASH MN.
