I told you to buy Bitcoin

746 ratings | 38704 views
Coinbase Referral Link: http://bit.ly/2t0EnXu (Purchase $100 or more in Bitcoins, get $10 free bitcoin, I get $10 also) 4 Months after my initial video of buying Bitcoins. If you happened to follow my advice of buying a tiny amount of less than 10% of your portfolio, you would have made some 105% gains on bitcoin. It's pretty risky and it happened to pay off this time. It could go down to $1000 or maybe it might evaporate completely. So take all this with a grain of salt. It feels like funny money. Is it too late to start buying the cryptocurrencies bitcoin or ethereum? It's high now. Will it likely drop again?
Charlie Rae (10 months ago)
Have nobody noticed he changes his stuffed animals around in each episode? Nobody comments, but I laugh ever video at the new arrangements. Very clever.
Charlie Rae (10 months ago)
BeatTheBush I don't believe you, because as an Engineer, you would have rigged them up in some way to tap into that un-mined potential kinetic energy. You would have used this to help heat your house or power your toothbrush, and reducing your home electric bill by 10%. Otherwise, I would have believed, because, I want to believe... you know?
BeatTheBush (10 months ago)
Yes... they move around. I don't change them.

What is the purpose of Bitcoin? Can you use the money that you get on other things? Or is it just stored in the place you buy it? Sorry I have no idea what this is about.
BeatTheBush (11 months ago)
You can store it in your own digital wallet if you want.

Ethereum you mean?

Tyrell Devonte (1 year ago)
Can you buy a percentage of Bitcoin and not the full price of $5 grand ?
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Probably I wont since it's too simple to make a video on. On coinbase, you just enter in the dollar amount you want to buy even if it's $100, you can buy it.
Tyrell Devonte (1 year ago)
BeatTheBush can you provide a brief how to on that ?
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
You can.

Bitcoin has already blown up. What I want to know is are there any other potentially exciting investment opportunities out there right now that are in their infancy?
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
If you have such a question, there are 1000s of ICOs waiting to claim your money by offering you 'an exciting' investment that promises huge growth.
Jai Rori (1 year ago)
I have a few thousand to gamble. Therefore I'll buy some Bitcoin! You just earned a new Sub.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
I hope you do. =D
Jai Rori (1 year ago)
BeatTheBush ok I'll buy gradually. For now...
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Beware of the elevated risks right now. I would advise to go in slow, average in over 6-10 months.

"An estimated $280 million worth of the cryptocurrency ethereum is now locked up after a user accidentally deleted the code necessary to access the digital wallets hosted by the company Parity Technologies." http://www.businessinsider.com/ethereum-parity-wallet-hack-freeze-missing-code-2017-11 Worth considering these things before touting crypto as an investment strategy. $280 million of Eth. Locked up and possibly gone for good.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Hmmmm, interesting. I still stand by it as a 'moon shot' strategy where you put in a small amount.
hybby (1 year ago)
"According to Market Watch, Buffett thinks crypto currencies will end badly. “People get excited from big price movements, and Wall Street accommodates,” he said. “You can’t value Bitcoin because it’s not a value-producing asset,” he said, adding that there’s no telling how far Bitcoin’s price will go, while describing it as a “real bubble in that sort of thing”. Buffett has in the past professed to know very little about Bitcoin. “I’ll put it this way, of our $49 billion, we haven’t moved any of it to Bitcoin,” he said of his company, Berkshire Hathaway " I'm going to trust the man who has the reputation as one of the greatest investors of all time.
WPWithTom (1 year ago)
lol I bought 40 ethereum at $10 and 1 bitcoin at about $800 and sold all my ethereum when it hit $20 and my bitcoin when it hit $900...boy I wish I was more patient!
WPWithTom (1 year ago)
I have thought of this, but I've also studied them all in depth by taking courses on them, read books about them, ect. and I think ethereum is by far the strongest (in the long run) of the 3. The only downside is that there is no limited cap to the coins. I also think bitcoin is kind of like napster was when the internet first started and that over time a better coin will overtake it. Time will tell I guess, but what you're saying makes sense. For now I will put the large majority of my investment into ethereum and follow things closely.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Also good to just buy both of all three. I have no idea which one will be the final crypto of choice. Maybe all of them? No need to pick, just buy equal portions.
WPWithTom (1 year ago)
Very true. Like you, I am more bullish with ethereum long time. I just bought some more this week and will continue to do so here and there.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Huh... and maybe some people will be selling at $7000 and then when it hits $70,000, they will wish they didn't sell as well? Who knows.
Charlae (1 year ago)
Lmao, this guy literally feels like a boy-genius for recommending to invest in Bitcoin
Charlae (1 year ago)
Uncool** its been sketchy to buy since it was 100$ it will never stop being "sketchy to buy" untill big institutions control a large sum of the circulating supply. Even today its at 7k it doesnt take hindsight to see it will hit 20k within the next 2 years
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
In hindsight this seems very cool. But can you imagine when it was at $2600, it was a bit sketchy to buy.
Sandeep Sk (1 year ago)
it's $7000 now. fuck.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
I don't think I know.
Sandeep Sk (1 year ago)
u think it's worth investing now ?? i can buy as low as 0.025 in my country.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Yup! Still have it. But the fast rise has me worried. It's like funny money.

BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
It's by the same company so it ports over easily.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
I don't really trade bitcoin, I bought it once. Apparently, you can use gdax.com to trade for lower fees.
BORIS JEFFERSON (1 year ago)
Bitcoin will go to $1million at some point.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Who knows really.
Schmonkee Shomky (1 year ago)
1 BTC valued 1 million values the total BTC (21million) to a valuation of 21 trillion. Do you really think 21 trillion will flow into BTC? I'm bullish, but not that bullish.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
How to get to a 21 Trillion market cap? World wide mass adoption. 90% of retailers accepts Visa Master and Bitcoin.
Strong Man (1 year ago)
I too wonder why he sent his picture to him lol

In the process of selling my business. I want to put 10% of that into BTC and hold.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Hmmm... if that is your invest-able assets over and beyond your emergency savings then that would be the max I would put it. And at that, I would go in 1-2% per month until you reach 10%.
Doug Raincock (1 year ago)
You recommend buying litecoin
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Only if you buy it in proportion to Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Stephanie Roberts (1 year ago)
If your bitcoin is held over a period of time and the value of bitcoin goes to 1 million and you now want to cash out who is going to buy the bitcoin for 1 million. How will you collect 1 mill in cash? Thank you.
Stephanie Roberts (1 year ago)
Thank you! Appreciate the reply.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Probably not as that is just how the market works. This is a bit different in that you can sell fractional pieces. I'll take care to remember to mention it in a later bitcoin video though.
Stephanie Roberts (1 year ago)
Thank you! Appreciate the reply. I am just learning before I buy. Thank you again. Would a video on this aspect of buying and investing be something you would consider doing? Thank you.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
If it goes to 1 million, and you sell 1 bitcoin, then it will likely be broken up into many transactions. For any value, there is a market for it and thus many buyers of that coin at the valuation. Just not one whole coin. Perhaps 0.0001 of it per person.
Jonathan Langford (1 year ago)
I was just talking to you about this. Believe me, trading Bitcoin is worth it. Trading and investing can be totally separate but trading can add to your investment.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
We will have to see if it is worth it or not. I'm not sure until I cash out one day. Or if it become an intentionally recognized currency when the market cap exceeds USD.
VPX4 (1 year ago)
The finite nature of bitcoin makes it volatile. However, you can use that volatility to buy on dips because people will buy it eventually and the price will almost be guaranteed to shoot up. With a little patience, you can make some serious money, dont be a fool and buy at the top though.
VPX4 (1 year ago)
BeatTheBush yea I see it as insurance more than an actual investment. No one wants rising insurance right lol
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
I hold a small amount as a hedge. It's a dog for last 3 years lol.
VPX4 (1 year ago)
thats what makes it so appealing, do you dabble in gold at all?
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Finite nature is what makes it valuable. As our USD loses value through inflation, bitcoin increases in value even with the predetermined amount of added coins.
Vade Barnett (1 year ago)
It's now just hovering $5,950 - $6,000. Only 2 weeks ago it was just over $4,500. Dude. Idea: Buy a Tesla and invest in a solar roof and Tesla battery plus sell back to the grid. Long term, that really will pay off.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Crazy right? Well, don't let it get you too excited, its just paper money until you sell. I still think Teslas are a luxury item. I'll have to run the numbers on Model 3, but Model X is definitely not a money saver.
Heart Healthy Hustle (1 year ago)
What’s your opinion of lightcoin
pierre bouboutou (1 year ago)
If Bitcoin is digital gold, Litecoin (LTC) is digital silver. It does everything Bitcoin does, also has a limited supply (80 millions coins if I'm correct) and is much more affordable than bitcoin. It trades around $ 52 now. A lot of people who won't be able to afford bitcoin and who will be looking for the same properties will probably invest in Litecoin. It's also faster.
Heart Healthy Hustle (1 year ago)
Great tips, thank you. What are your thoughts on the next drop in BC price? Any ideas when a bubble burst might happen? I predict next 4 months.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Not popular enough but could have a spot in your investment. Sort of diversify into it so half an even split between all three.
theempoleon78 (1 year ago)
It's going to crash, make sure you sell them bitches soon.
theempoleon78 (1 year ago)
The price of bitcoin isn't due to the demand for it but rather speculators that are looking to make a lot of money so once they feel like they won't gain much from bitcoin it's price will drop. Plus, the market share for bitcoin is slowly decreasing, it's gone down by 40% in the last two years. So when the Cryptocurrency sector gets hit, i.e bad press or a programming malfunction making it hard for people to mine for a while the hype will die down and thus the bubble will burst.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Do you have any bitcoin? Or did you sell of yours thinking its going to crash soon? Need context from your statement.
Evelyn D'Haene (1 year ago)
I just love your videos. I was actually gonna but another $4,700 CHANEL handbag after I just received a Gucci bag last month for our wedding anniversary. For some reason after watching a few of your videos tonight , I changed my mind lol. I couldn’t justify it lol. Thank you for all your videos.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
=_= ... Okay for someone that might buy one of those, that is an audience I absolutely did not expect. There are people I try to convince in real life to not buy those bags but I gave up long ago. I just put videos here for those that want to. =D

Everybody is a genius when the market is up 😏
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Ha ha ha... sure is! But then I'll still be around if bitcoin goes to zero and I wont be crying over it. In fact, I'd probably make a video about it.
A Google User (1 year ago)
Can you store your crypto currency in coinbase /GDAX? Is it safe to do that?
Callum Macroni (1 year ago)
A Google User for me, the best and safest way to go about this is by investing in a company that will mine, trade and reinvest whatever crypto currencies you have for you. that's how i go about mine, all i do is to fund my wallet and after that i instruct the company to do whatever i want, either trading or mining and it will be handled by the company and when production is due and ready, i wait to cash out which will be sent directly to my wallet or local bank account. these done effortlessly, you can also go about yours the same way.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
You can add a delay to the withdrawal which can make it safer.
hybby (1 year ago)
Hi BeatTheBush. Please stop calling this speculation a "moonshot', as you appear to have no idea what a moonshot is, and are dragging that word through the mud. Here's Google's definition of a moonshot: "A project or proposal that: Addresses a huge problem Proposes a radical solution Uses breakthrough technology " In the terms of gambling in BTC, 'moonshot' is not an appropriate word to use. "Lottery" is a better word. There is no problem being addressed, no radical solution is being proposed, and while crypto is a new technology... the previous 2 parts are not there. Thus it's not a moonshot.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
You are just mincing words here. I tend to make up my own words and use it as I please. Problem addressed is that we have no currency that will inflate so badly as the USD or other currencies. BTC is the only crypto that is so widely adopted and also being DECENTRALIZED thus being special.
Roman Hashon (1 year ago)
Just a heads up I did make an account under you and i will let you know when the $100 is in the account to confirm for your bonus. Edit: just got the bonus. Seems like only 20 to 40 mins after too. Thank you buddy
Roman Hashon (1 year ago)
Ya the IMF will over time come after it. Also they will release thier own. The IRS considers is as legal property not currency.... Not sure but there could be advantages in that. Also glad the IRS considers it anything.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Excellent, thank you for your support! Let me remind you that This $6000 per bitcoin price is pretty insane. I would not be surprised if it drops to $1000 or $100 for that matter. But one can hope it will go higher. It's like the dot com bubble, this is funny money.
YW (1 year ago)
Another great video!
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Thanks! =D
Germaine (1 year ago)
I was aware of Bitcoin way back last decade but when I realized I can't buy BTC here in my country, I just forgot about it. I was binge watching on your channel and I watched that video of yours. Then my recommended feed started showing Youtube channels explaining BTC and mining. Here I am, 4 months later with 4 mining rigs and my initial investment has doubled. I have taught some of my friends and family on what I have learned over the past months and some have invested already and are quite knowledgable as well. I just realized after watching this video that your initial BTC video was the catalyst for my position in cryptocurrencies. Thanks!
Callum Macroni (1 year ago)
Germaine the best and safest way to go about this is by investing in a company that will mine, trade and reinvest whatever crypto currencies you have for you. that's how i go about mine, all i do is to fund my wallet and after that i instruct the company to do whatever i want, either trading or mining and it will be handled by the company and when production is due and ready, i wait to cash out which will be sent directly to my wallet or local bank account. these done effortlessly, you can also go about yours the same way.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Ha! Well, even though I didn't really teach mining as I do not have that setup myself, I'm glad you attribute that original vid as the catalyst. =D
Mark Santucci (1 year ago)
when your sending photos they have to be protected. like I said in the note since I don't know how to make videos I want you to have a couple of photos of me. if it was just the note I would have sent it first class but because there were photos and photos can get damaged we have to do things the safe way. do you have a photo album ? that's where you put pictures of people.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Lol... can it? I never send photos really, so I wouldn't know.
Tony32 (1 year ago)
I didn't beat the bush on this one :(
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Ahhh, oh well. It could come down hard any day anyway. Very very risky here.
Toxicbell (1 year ago)
You can set it up as like a DRIP type investment as well. You can set it up to by $XXX.XX amount every week, two weeks, or month. This way you buy more when the price is low and less when the price is high.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Exactly. You really need to do this since it's so extremely volatile.
WakfuGuides (1 year ago)
There's a lot of factors driving the price of bitcoin up, you're talking about really low possibilities when you say it might go down by half or even more in a month or two, as far as most people are aware, it is a great idea to buy into bitcoin, in a month or two it will seem cheap now. You said people might think "oh look bitcoin went up so much, let's double down!" If enough people thought that, it would drive the price up since a ton of people would be buying in, buys cause a price increase. Oh yeah and yes, you're bragging too much in the video, plus, people have made WAYYY more than you did, you aren't investing enough in bitcoin.
WakfuGuides (1 year ago)
I have some Bitcoin and I am constantly trying to work my way into investing more, in whatever way that I can. As far as I can see, the things that suggest to me that Bitcoins price will exceed much higher than it is now is because more and more people are accepting it, that includes more countries adopting it as a form of payment, more merchants accepting it, more people believing in it. All this and the other things that give it value, no fees, limited supply, decentralized, untraceable, it cannot be taxed, and many more things. So no, I'm not angry at your or your video, I just have a very different perspective on where the price is going, just make wise decisions and hope you get lucky like you did with the oil thing, winning big is mostly luck anyways.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Seriously though, I have no good way to price this thing. I have no idea if it is extremely cheap or expensive. Do you have any bitcoin? Those who do not tend to not be happy about this video. Those who even bought $20, just go yep, its nice.
Chris G (1 year ago)
What's a good stock market software?
Callum Macroni (1 year ago)
Chris G what you should do or the best way to go about investing rather than you going by it yourself, is by investing in a company that will mines and trade any cryptocurrencies on your behalf. that's how i go about mine, all i do is to fund any of my crypto wallet and after that i instruct the company to do whatever i want either by reinvesting or mining, and it will also be handled by them and at it due time i wait and cash out which will be sent directly to my wallet or local bank account effortlessly, you can also go about yours the same way.

MassEffectFan113 (1 year ago)

MassEffectFan113 (1 year ago)
Yes, I love that volatility!
Donny Kingpin (1 year ago)
Bitcoin over 6,000 today, genius. Lol indeed.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Did it? $5700 right now... where are you getting your quotes?
kutie k (1 year ago)
isn't it hard to sell though?
Callum Macroni (1 year ago)
kutie k it isn't hard to sell, it's all dependent on how you go about investing your cryptocurrency, why don't you try going about this a different way, in my case i love having things like these done effortlessly so i invest in a company that mines and trade crypto currencies on my behalf, they also advise me on what investment I should go with anytime, so far i can reach the company via call or email, i'm good to go. I think you should do same so that you won't have a reason to have so much thought of how well and far the investment will go if you have intentions of venturing into cryptocurrency investment.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Nope. I sold it before too and transfer it to my bank just to see it go through once.
Kenny See (1 year ago)
I have been following your videos. Your videos have been great. You are an intelligent guy, but come on, this time....what is this....this video can basically be boiled down to: (1) i made a lot of money through .... speculation (if you consider this as a calculated risk. how was it calculated? cryptocurrency as an investment still appears to me as a rather weak argument.) (2) i am happy (3) sad you didn't do it (4) here's a link for you to buy some so i get to earn some commission. Please explain to me why this is considered a "frugal advice"... and not ... an advertisement?
Ekicks559 (11 months ago)
hey idiot what now. bitcoin up to 10k could have basically doubled your money. idiot.
hybby (1 year ago)
Could you please answer why this is a moonshot? Because, by Google X's standards, this is not a moonshot. Here's Google's definition of a moonshot: A project or proposal that: Addresses a huge problem Proposes a radical solution Uses breakthrough technology
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
This is more of moonshot speculation. It has some place in investing activities. There are more than a few that took my recommendation from the first video so it is a community celebration. But for those that didn't, you might have to go in slowly. To me, I believe in cryptos because they do not get diluted anywhere like in USD. So in a sense, if you buy into it, the value will vary wildly but will at least keep its value. As the USD's value decreases and the buying power decreases, your crypto will stay. That is the main thesis and why I buy into it. I see a few not happy comments on this video. And it appears mainly from those who did not invest in it at all or are against cryptos thinking they are pure speculation. I think we will not really know if I am right or not until many years later. It'll be interesting to come back a year or 10 years later to look in hindsight and laugh at myself if I am wrong.

The Olfactive (1 year ago)
Bitcoin is also money you have not lost anything you can still spend it. Great Chanel
The Olfactive (1 year ago)
BeatTheBush yes I does twice a month. But some point it won't, still good to have I hedge it with gold. Uphold is a good service to do that with. But anyway I love your channel great work.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
It is money indeed except sometimes, it can plummet 50%. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it did that in a day or two.
Sigge Thorén (1 year ago)
Pls dont be that guy to tell everyone "told you so". Its annoying becaouse you hindsight is always very easy...
hybby (1 year ago)
"I told you to buy bitcoin" is, in its essence, "I told you so".
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
I didn't say that phrase but this was more of a reflection since the first video. It turned out well but if it drops to $1000 then what? It could happen as well.
Sigge Thorén (1 year ago)
Pls dont buy bitcoin

This year, my crypto portfolio went x71. 100% is nothing :P

Buy Chinese growth tech stocks, 100% return in a year and probably safer than BTC :)
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Right now? Ehhh not sure, it's all speculative.
Ash Vecchio (1 year ago)
I don't think people realize that EVERYTHING is being built on ETH. It's like the highway for all dapps. ETH should be 4, 5, 6 and even 7 figures one day. The Ethereum Alliance is growing at an exponential rate.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Very true but the last few months bitcoin has outpaced ETH. Not sure where it will go going forward though.
Ray Liu (1 year ago)
any chance you can do a better hair style for yourself dude?
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
I thought this was pretty good.
Swordkiller (1 year ago)
I have all my money in cryptocurrencies, i know its risky, but i have almost zero expenses, i think cryptocurrencies are the new thing when it comes to money, and it wont lose its value in a long time, people even saying bitcoin is still in low value, and that its closer to 25000 dollars. I will keep holding it for a few years and see what happens :)
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Yup.... just think... if it plunges to $1000 will that cause you to jump off a building? Will dropping to any amount cause you to do so? More risk more reward I guess but that is too risky for me and too risky for me to recommend for anyone.
Monir Alnabulsi (1 year ago)
Hey beatthebush, have you heard about bitconnect and what do you think about it ?
HODL BTC/BCH/LTC/XMR (1 year ago)
good, don't its a huge scam. just stay with bitcoin
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
I haven't used it just yet.
Susan Velez (1 year ago)
What do you invest in when you only have a few hundred dollars BTB?
Susan Velez (1 year ago)
BeatTheBush got it thank you!
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
You don't. You keep this as emergency fund. But if you have 1 year of emergency fund and THEN another few hundred. I would put this in S&P500 ETF funds over even trying for cryptos.

Mexicomank2 (1 year ago)
Hard to buy Bitcoin even at it's old price when I'm young and have very little money
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
There is some timing and luck involved in this. It's pretty much speculative so you can only invest a small portion of your total portfolio without possibly endangering your livelihood.

You can use gdax to buy bitcoin with no fee. Its the same company as coinbase :)
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
I guess I should venture into using that. =D
Kira Kjear (1 year ago)
Can you buy this within a Canadian Corporation?
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Bitcoin is worldwide but I don't think you can do this through coinbase. You probably have other sites that allows the same thing in Canada.

=D I do appreciate saving money even if its used on me.
Baupylypuab (1 year ago)
Another good investment: hang on to your Boxster!
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Hmmm... interesting point. I thought it will go down another 1k per year from here until zero, lol.
Baupylypuab (1 year ago)
BeatTheBush I think it will. Porsches are always sought-after cars. I have met many people that look for particular Porsche regardless of miles. If you trade it in, I would bet that no other used car (and definitely no new car) would hold its value as well as the Boxster, partially because the 2001 Boxster has pretty much bottomed in value. For most other cars that bottom is never reached.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
It does seem to be true. Except I have 155k miles on it, I wonder if the value will go up?
What amount do you suggest for a new person to get started on the smaller budget right now at these prices?
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
You buy a dollar amount. However... it is about how much of what you can invest you put in something this risky. Someone that can invest $1000 should put in max $50.... Someone that has $100,000 should put in max of $5000. This is because any crazy fluctuations of +/- 50% will not make you sweat beads and jump off a building.
BeatTheBush I'm not sure what that means I thought it was a dollar amount? Maybe I need to learn more about it first
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Same for anyone. It's not a set amount but around 5% of indigestible assets in total max. So you need to save up 1 year worth of living expenses first, then anything over that you invest. Then it is 5% of THIS amount.
Baupylypuab (1 year ago)
You should buy a cheap oil etf, as it will go back up again when the US/NATO has a false flag event in the Middle East. Oil can't stay low forever.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
It pretty much went up pretty high and sort of traded sideways since I sold out. I'm good.

Why would you recommend gambling? How broke do you want people to be?
Matthew Pottinger (3 months ago)
If bitcoin was completely random and not a growing new technology then it would be gambling. It is random in the short term so short term trading is like gambling. Same with in stocks. Long term there is a clear trend. That is a calculated risk. If that is gambling then you're saying everyone should stick to a savings account or stick money under their mattress. Nobody should take calculated risks then i.e. 'investing'.
BORIS JEFFERSON (1 year ago)
Enjoy your 5% a year in stocks. I am getting 500% returns a year in Bitcoin.
hybby (1 year ago)
It's gambling. Pure and simple. Stop kidding yourself, BeatTheBush. You might want to put "The Intelligent Investor" onto you 'reading' list. It will give you a better mental reference point as to why so many of us are criticizing you for recommending that your watching base starts gambling on speculative stock purchases.
P.M Me Your Kitty! (1 year ago)
"Gambling" 😅

Thank you for mentioning the $200 trick to minimize fees! Your BTC videos are my favorite
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Yeah, I had to make a follow up since that fee thing is not spelled out clearly. The transfer taking so long isn't either.
Some One (1 year ago)
Your face on the video is funny 😃👌🏼👍🏻
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
The crazy look I guess. =D
Paul Lindholm (1 year ago)
I have Bitcoin, but isn't this what Benjamin Graham teaches against? Focus on this being speculation only. Also do you use Coinbase? I feel like Coinbase's fees are ridiculous.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Correct. It's sort of diverges away from that. So it is also why I have very little in bitcoins. But even with so little, seeing it double is pretty nice. Like I said, I paid the one time fee and never bought or sold again.
Brandon Jackson (1 year ago)
Don't forgot to look into crypto wallets, as if you have more than you would like to lose on an exchange (such as coin base), you may want to store it on a physical hardware wallet in case coin base goes down or gets hacked, or anything generally bad happens.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
I think there really needs to be a better solution than having your own physical hardware with backups and such. It's arcane.
MOHAN KUMAR (1 year ago)
If you plan to buy and sell. Use gdax. They dont charge fees using limit option. coinbase is expensive
STILL WATERS (1 year ago)
Can I use Gdax in NYC?
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
That's the consensus it seems.
Emma Philomena (1 year ago)
Lol Beat the Bush giving a lesson on saving money on sending letters. I am a total newbie for investments. I haven't educated myself on it yet. Which cryptocurrency is good to invest in and also is it worth starting with 50 or 100£. I have a very low budget at the moment but l am thinking that there is no small gain. Any advice from anyone is welcome!
Emma Philomena (1 year ago)
Ok, thanks that should help a little bit :D
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
I think the minimum to make the fees as little as possible is $200 USD. Or if you can buy it through a place that has lower fees than 3%. I am not going to claim to know which on to invest in, there are so many crypto currencies.
Jacob Burrell (1 year ago)
Bitcoin enthusiast here. I've been trading and coding things related to bitcoin since early 2013 (when the price was $100 a bitcoin). One thing I didn't see you mention that is very relevant to an investor-based perspective recently on bitcoin is the "bitcoin-cash fork". For investment purposes, this is very similar to a stock split, but that you aren't really told about. A few months ago, a new coin forked from bitcoin called "bitcoin cash" (https://www.bitcoincash.org/) was launched. Everyone who had bitcoin at the time of the "fork" (creation of the new coin) also has an equivalent number of these new "bitcoin cash" coins. At the time of this writing, 1 "Bitcoin cash" is worth about $340 according to https://coinmarketcap.com/. So in calculating the value of your investment, you want to include everything that has "split" from the main chain since you also now are the owner of both chains. One note: I see you refer Coinbase. Coinbase by default acts as a centralized "hot wallet" which means they operate more like PayPal or a bank in that they control your bitcoins. It's possible that centralized services like this many not even recognize new tokens like this, although I believe Coinbase does. The solution is to always hold your cryptocurrencies in a wallet you control. This is often a bit un-intuitive and you must be careful to do things properly, but there are a lot of good solutions that exist to make securing your bitcoins easier, and there's a lot of work being done to make this even easier.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Oh yes. Coinbase did say you do get the bitcoin cash when they forked. It has not appeared in my account yet though. At first they say you will not get it and they do not support it. I assume people started taking all their coins out so they went back on that.
Solomon Chau (1 year ago)
Yes, I understand how anyone can buy bitcoin/etherium/litecoin using coinbase; but can you turn your home PC into some kind of bitcoin mining operation? I mean do you believe in doubling your bitcoin using some shady bitconnect/bitcoin doubler websites? Why doesn't everyone just turn their home PC into some kind of bitcoin mining generator so they don't have to worry about money anymore? Other than the inherent risk, I don't see why you wouldn't know how to mine bitcoin using your home PC. Can you do an episode about people who use their home PC to mine bitcoin?
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
You can but then I haven't ventured out to doing that just yet. I don't believe in any website, I usually have to do a lot or research before trusting something like that. Bitcoins are no longer feasible to mine even with dedicated mining ASICs. That's what I hear at least.
Kay (1 year ago)
So what other coin should I buy?
Callum Macroni (1 year ago)
Kay presently Bitcoin has the highest value followed by Ethereum, ripple, litecoin and the others. I'm an investor/miner but how I presently go about it is by investing in a company that mines trade and reinvest cryptocurrency, but i mostly focus on mining purely for Bitcoin, Ethereum and ripple. Its all done effortlessly in the convenience of my home just by investing and when the due time is right wait to cash out and my bitcoin is sent directly to my wallet, I think you should do same so to be completely sure of a productive mining.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
Equal divisions in value of those 3. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin.
B K (1 year ago)
That thumbnail pick is seriously demented. You look diabolical.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
=D LOL!
bashildy (1 year ago)
Speculating on crypto currency to me feels like the antithesis of your original conservative economic message of spend less, save more, invest intelligently. Each of your new videos follow the beat of recommending a product, making a case for why it's good for you financially, and then providing a referral link to purchase or sign up. Previously your videos covered a variety of topics and you'd provide a link to Audible or another service that was somewhat related but not the direct topic of the video. This new focus me question if the advice in your videos is to benefit your audience or yourself. The authenticity of you being an everyman bestowing advice is, or will soon be, compromised if people start viewing you as a referral blog/marketer with a face. I wish you the best in your YouTube career. Much like Crypto Currencies, chasing short-term returns may jeopardize your long-term value.
hybby (1 year ago)
Also, Bashildy's critique is valid. Please tone down on the referral links. It's getting a bit overwhelming. Go back to actual advice, instead of referring us to products to buy.
hybby (1 year ago)
+BeatTheBush - But even as Astro Teller (Director of Moonshots at (former Google) X) says, "You do need to keep the trains running on time. You can't put ALL your resources towards moonshots. You do have to send some scouts out the the wilderness to find a better mountain to climb than the current one you're climbing" In essence - If you're going to speculate, only use a fraction of your resources towards that speculation. Don't bet the farm on the speculation. In further words - Don't rely on cryptocurrency as your method to get to FIRE / fund retirement. If you have excess cash that is not better allocated towards other endeavors... sure. Crypto speculations. But not otherwise.
Kenny See (1 year ago)
very good points.
BeatTheBush (1 year ago)
I proved that it would have been beneficial by the referencing of Bitcoin which proved to be a good investment moonshot, PCK which is a great tax-free dividend, and IXC at the time which was had great gains since I covered it. Consider that if you do not speculate at all then sure, you can make consistent gains but you will never win at moonshots.

The acryptoa portion of the word denotes the cryptography used to ensure the blockchain, and the acurrencya portion of the word denotes the ability to exchange the tokens for goods and solutions. The absolute pacifism part is assumed I think, in spite of someone having the capability to locate some examples where it may appear otherwise. What you share is is an instance of absolute terror onto people who ought to be fought if it may be. The numbers won`t be good. Today they are much higher.
You`ll reap the benefits for the very long haul if you stick with your advertising and marketing guns. There are certain sorts of offerings that have special exemptions from the full blown registration practice. The range is hard to specify, taking into consideration the diversity in choices. According to the provision, the scope of the very first transaction in NEPSE is within three times the provider`s book value.
When the project is completed, the tokens value is probably going to increase because there is currently a tangible item, instead of simply an idea. After all, research demonstrates that clients use their networks to choose consultants more than every other method, and they, without doubt, know somebody who knows you. Getting knowledge in the region of property investment is insufficient. You may observe I didn`t speak about a few skills. After all, in case you have a saleable skill, it`s a simple business to enter.
A collection company cannot collect any sum of money that isn`t permitted by law or by agreement. Furthermore, it would be required to show the terms of that agreement in court. It is not surprising that consulting is attractive to numerous individuals who wish to launch a company. You also have to know the way the corporation will account for the exchanging of tokens. Starting a public company is a complicated and costly undertaking. Doing so makes a contract that might be binding. If you haven`t signed a contract with the collection business, you owe them nothing.
Inside my view there is just one house, and all of us live in it. Property should not be damaged. In addition, should the property is well-connected to the public transport, then it aids in giving a good advantage, particularly for the middle-class family.
As previously mentioned, the majority of the above coins are offered for purchase direct from the Royal Mint. Offerings where the total raised is less than one million dollars come beneath a special procedure that is far less complicated. Once more, money well spent. Another method is to commit your own money. It s pretty obvious to anybody who reads the accounts. You DON`T need to make a new account.
Enterprises and entire countries are now able to block Tor traffic without any issues. Nobody is suggesting that it isn`t the work of liberal Whites to oppose what`s wrong. To the contrary, the investments with the period of time of over five years are called as long-term investments. Original investors can then opt to sell their tokens to earn a significant profit.
